After watching the first episode of Luther, I wasn’t sure what to make of it.
Luther manages to capture the serial killer name Madsen but now he has a new case. A mother and father are murdered along with the dog and after some quick deductions, Luther is sure that the person who did it was the daughter who reported the murder, Alice Morgan.
He seemed to have good instincts since she seemed like a psychopath. There was no evidence to hold her so Alice was set free.
From there, it seemed to be a cat and mouse. In one scene, Alice threatens to kill Luther’s ex-wife but since his ex-wife can’t see Alice, she gets away.
Much of the story focused on Luther. He punches and kicks a door in after his ex-wife tells him that she is seeing another man.
Not sure what to think at the end of the episode when Luther finds the gun in the urn at Alice Morgan’s house. From there, Morgan follows him into the street and pulls a knife on him. Luther lets her get away after she holds the knife to his chest.
In any case, the show held my interest that I’m happy to watch other episodes. I liked Luther as a character. He seemed edgy and unstable at times. Be good to see where this show goes. I would give this show four stars.
