On one hand, I thought that this was a great action packed TV show but at the same time, I found some of the plot very confusing.
The show started out with Kim Hyun-jun is a scientist that was branded a traitor by North Korea. When he is captured by the Russians, the president of South Korea thought it was an opportunity for him to protect the scientist so he hired a private team to recover him.
Dr. Kwon, a black ops agent was hired to create team and save the scientist. He would hire several people. What Dr. Kwon didn’t know was that there was another team which I guess was led by a woman named Athena who was going to bring the scientist back to North Korea.
As Kwon contacted these people, one of them was in a great action packed martial scene that took place in a bathroom of a hotel. It ended with Kwon’s man being killed.
Kwon found out later when he arrived to meet the team that two of his members were killed. Still, he wanted to continue the mission and everything was set to go.
Again, the other team was ready and their plan was to watch Kwon’s team save the scientist, then kill all the members of the team. In another action packed sequence, that is what happened. All of Kwon’s team is killed in battle except for Kwon himself. Somehow, he gets the scientist gets in the car and the other team chases Kwon down, only to find that the scientist was gone.
Kwon is questioned by the leader of the other team leader, Son Hyeok. Kwon would not answer any questions and for no apparent reason, when he is left alone with Kwon, Son Hyeok would not kill him.
That was several years ago. In the present, NTS was forming again with a new member named Lee Jung woo to be a top member of the team. He would fall in love with Yoon Hye-in, a double agent who is loyal to Son Hyeok.
Later, Dr. Kwon was asked to become the leader of NTS and he accepted. Son Hyeok became the leader of another team in South Korea called the DIS. What confused me here is that Kwon would know this but would do nothing about it.
I’m not sure that my confusion would be answered by continuing to watch the show but because of all the action, I’ll give this 4 stars and see how it goes.
